Welcome to the Jefferson Avenue church of Christ! We are the church home to nearly 650 members of all ages and backgrounds and we would love for you to visit us at anytime!

We deeply love souls at this congregation and want each person to know and obey God's Plan of Salvation. We would invite you to use the many Bible study aids on this site and would welcome the opportunity to study with you personally.

If you are new to the area or just passing through, we truly hope that you will come and worship, study, work and fellowship with us in the church Christ established.

Singles Ministry

Our Singles Ministry Classes have begun in room #119, on both Sunday and Wednesday. The Sunday morning class will be taught by David Chaney and Brad Fortner. The Wednesday night class will be taught by Phil McCanless.

Wednesday Afternoon Bible Class

Wednesday Afternoon Bible Class The Wednesday Afternoon Bible Class meets in room 115, each Wednesday at 1:30 PM. This class is designed for adults who do not like to drive after dark.

New Christian: Jim Sullivan was baptized at NHC last week by John Nichols and Matt Suggs. He had been studying with Bill Flatt for several weeks. His devoted friend who stays with him daily at NHC is Geraldine Loftis.

Prayer List

Cindy Leddy had a new MRI on Friday. She has requested our prayers. Cora Mayes, granddaughter of Lester & Peggy Sparks, is now at home following surgery last week. Claude Allen, Maggie Brown & Gene Talbert are all recuperating at their homes. We were thrilled to see Jackie Tidwell able to be in church on Sunday! Please remember those who are still dealing with cancer: Kathy Adams, Jim Atnip, Adam Hoschar (nephew of Dave & Jeana Piggott), Jo Hutcheson, Cindy Kelly (sister-in-law of Sean & Marty Kelly), Pat Shinsky, Harold Kinnard, Rhonda Parker, Sue Savage (Chris Savage’s mother), and Erma Wright (Marian Dale’s mother).

Youth Events

JA Youth Family Meeting This Sunday Night This Sunday night, after evening services, we will be having a brief meeting in the Fellowship Hall with the parents and teens of the JA Youth Ministry. This will be a meeting to discuss the upcoming plans with the group. Please make plans to attend. I won’t keep you long. Please be praying for our ministry in the coming months. God has been blessing us with some incredible numbers. Let’s take advantage of that blessing and work toward growing spiritually as well. CYC Final Deadline! There is a sheet posted on the JA Youth Bulletin Board listing those signed up for CYC. If you have paid, and I have it recorded, it is listed on the board. PLEASE CHECK THAT LIST! At the end of January, I will be sending our final registration to CYC. After that day, you will not be able to register anymore. The cost is $60 per person. Please pay me before the end of January to secure your spot.
